2012 Aussie Grand Final

Today marks the most important day in the Australian sporting calendar – the AFL Grand Final. Hawthorn plays Sydney in what, at the time of writing, is a cliffhanger.

Usually, I spend the day in a hotel conference room with 5-600 fellow Saigon residents, eating & drinking from a buffet while listening to a celebrity guest and watching the game on three big screens.

This year I have no particular allegiances, so I’m watching with Quỳnh’s family. To make the day as Aussie as possible I arranged for Crumbs bakery to supply authentic meat pies, pasties and sausage rolls, complete with sachets of Heinz dead horse.
