Com Chien @ VUS

  • Didn't think there'd be anyone left on the planet who thought KISS meant Knights In Satan's Service. There are! #
  • Jetstar just moved my flight to tomorrow! Pathetic. Now I have to waste time & money finding another way to get home. #
  • Wonderful service from Pacific Hotel. Receptionist got me an earlier flight from VietAir & refund from Jetstar – both impossible earlier. #
  • for @Anita_tran because she has a new bicycle. 🙂 #
  • How long before it collapses? “@AsCorrespondent: It happens only in China – 15 story hotel built in 6 days! –” #
  • Lunching at Highlands Da Nang prior to taxi tour of Hoi An. Constant light rain is doing it's best to ruin my photo ops. #
  • Bumped into @fisheggtree sheltering from the Da Nang cold in Highlands. Had a good chat to pass the time before my flight. #
This latest time capsule contains mostly iPhone pics and a couple of my now stolen Panasonic superzoom captures. It reminds me of my first Teacher's Day event. I hope this year's is a lot better.

Late at night in District 5. I'm eating seafood when I look up and see all these baskets hanging from the canvas awning.

The chicken that flew the coup. Didn't last long though. Stupid thing flew down again.

Every Monday I teach two classes at VUS An Duong Vuong, clinic and during the
break I seek out this lady for my energy recharge. Com Chien is fried
rice, page and I have mine with egg, dried shrimp, dough pieces & a few
other miscellaneous ingredients.

As soon as she sees me she cracks an egg, inserting me as priority one
in the queue, and all the poor kids who have been waiting impatiently
need to wait just that little bit longer.
